Ethylene Dichloride (EDC), also known as 1,2-Dichloroethane, is a clear, colorless, volatile chlorinated organic liquid with a sweet, chloroform-like odor. It is an important industrial chemical and is primarily used as an intermediate in the production of Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM), which is further used to manufacture PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride).
